It really is very useful. I always struggle with hard butter because it’s difficult to spread on bread. This is very helpful. When butter is not so hard, it is easier to use. My kids love the butter curls it makes.

I gave a “meh” review because it did not work as well as the pictures would indicate, but am updating now to “pretty good”. You need to hold the blade nearly flat and press down as you draw it across the butter to get the nice curls shown in the pictures. If you hold at an angle like shown in the picture it doesn’t work nearly as well.

This knife is so awesome. I hate using regular butter knives. The bread usually ends up torn before I’m finished spreading the butter, but with this it saves the bread from that happening and you’ve got the perfect amount of butter on the knife. It’s easy to clean too. I’d recommend it!

What a great kitchen aide. Hard butter is no match and this device makes it soft enough to spread and not tear the bread. Best with stick butter and have to lay it at a very shallow angle to the butter stick.

This is the kitchen gadget you never knew you needed as a chronic “forget to replace the butter”er I can say that I appreciate this product more than I can explain.
